How To Purify Your Home From Negative Vibes And Low Energy

how-to-energy-cleanse-blog
If you often find yourself feeling distressed, lethargic, irritable, or downcast, it may be an indicator that your home requires energy cleansing.

Your home is not merely a physical structure; it’s your sanctuary, your comfort zone. Ideally, it should emanate tranquility and vitality, providing a sense of harmony and belonging. When it fails to do so, it’s a sign that you should attend to it, rekindling your connection with it and infusing it with love and care.

The energy within your home should flow freely, but often it becomes obstructed and stagnant. We can often sense this intuitively; sometimes, upon entering a space, we immediately sense that something isn’t quite right, even if we can’t pinpoint the cause.

The good news is that a simple practice of energy cleaning can help restore the natural and gentle flow of energy in any space, allowing you to maintain a state of calm and balance.

So, how do you rid your space of stagnant and unwanted energy?

The first and most crucial step is to declutter and clean your home. Mess and dirt can create a chaotic and unpleasant vibe, leaving you feeling drained and weakened. Repair or dispose of damaged items, eliminate clutter, and sweep the floors. If there’s a room in your home that you tend to avoid, it’s a clear sign that it requires decluttering, reorganization, and perhaps even a rearrangement. Continue until you feel a sense of peace with the space – trust your instincts. When you feel at ease with the results of your efforts, it signifies that your work is complete.

Our second-favorite method of energy cleansing involves burning natural incenses, particularly white sage. Smudging, or the act of burning herbs for purification, is an age-old ritual practiced in various cultures worldwide.

Deep within us, there exists a strong and ancient belief in the purifying power of smoke, which we can harness to rid ourselves of unseen energies. When you dedicate deliberate time to smudging, you’ll experience its effects firsthand.

White sage ignites easily and releases an intense, distinct herbal aroma that many people find relaxing. If you prefer a milder fragrance, consider using blue sage, which offers a gentler, more soothing smoke.

While burning sage, it’s essential to remember that smudging is a spiritual practice. Although it is simple in nature, it requires focus and presence of mind. It involves having a clear and strong intention to let go of what no longer serves you. Mindlessly wafting sage smoke around won’t harm you, but it won’t help either. You need to become one with the ritual – that’s how you make the change happen.

Start by smudging yourself, moving from the bottom up, both in the front and back. Then, walk with the lit sage through every room in your house. Remember to smudge the space behind doors and in far corners, as stagnant energy tends to accumulate there.

Some suggest moving counterclockwise while smudging, as it is associated with letting go, in contrast to clockwise motion, which signifies welcoming and attraction. However, we believe it’s not necessary. The most important thing is to follow your intuition and do what feels right. It’s your ritual; you make the rules.

The amount of time you dedicate to smudging is  also entirely up to you. Sometimes, a brief smudging session suffices, especially after the presence of unwanted guests or individuals who may have left discordant energy in your space. When you have more time and feel the need, you can meticulously smudge your home, reaching every nook and cranny. When we have time, we like to savor the process and admire the smoke. While smudging, we often have Andrea Bocelli’s song “Time to Say Goodbye” playing in our heads. It’s indeed a fitting soundtrack for a ritual that involves bidding farewell to undesirable energies and making space for new blessings.

You can also use white sage smoke to cleanse the energy of vintage objects. If you purchase antiques or second-hand items, it’s wise to ensure they don’t carry any unwanted energy into your daily life. Allow the sage’s smoke to envelop them for at least a few seconds, cleansing them thoroughly.

At the end of each cleansing ritual, open the windows and doors of your home wide so that the released energies can be set free and leave your space for good.

Sage smoke addresses the unseen on multiple levels. It not only revitalizes energy flow but also purifies the air. Scientists claim that it can eliminate up to 94% of airborne bacteria, and its purifying effects can last for up to 24 hours in a closed room. We wish someone had shared this information during the COVID-19 pandemic with us.

We  both love smudging. It has become an integral part of our weekly rituals, grounding us and allowing us to feel calmer. We believe it helps us create a safe and harmonious space for ourselves and our loved ones. Befriend this enchanting ritual, which offers us freedom and restores our faith in our own power. The power not only to heal and to soothe but also the power to transform what surrounds us.

At the core of every ritual lies the intention to live better. That’s precisely what we wish for you. Give it a try. You’ll thank us later.

Those can help you in your journey
